I’ve been a journalist for 18 years. Until December 31, 2013, I was senior editor and bureau chief at Forbes India. Prior to that I’ve worked at Red Herring, Mint, The Times of India, and The Asian Age. Among specialist publications I’ve written for IEEE-Spectrum, Cell, New Scientist and ScienceBusiness. I’ve been a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2000-01) and a MacArthur Foundation research grantee (2003-05). I am currently working on a book for HarperCollins.

In these years I’ve usually written about science and technology. I believe while we may have settled into consuming the nicely packaged final products of science – technology being a hand maiden of science – we are distancing ourselves from all the effort that goes into it. This blog is an attempt to bring occasional peek into those efforts and ideas.

I’ve aggregated some of my writings on this website. All blog posts until Dec 31, 2013, were published on Forbes India website.
